Curt Hill, Programming & Events Manager at Portsmouth Guildhall and Co-Founder of Portsmouth Comic Con, joined Presenters Jon Brown and Ian McGuiness live in the Express FM studios today to announce that multi award winning Composers The Flight will be attending Portsmouth Comic Con, on Saturday 3rd May at the Portsmouth Guildhall this year.
They will be appearing on stage in the Speaker’s Corner area to take part in a talk about their career and their music, which will be hosted by Express FM’s Jon Brown, in the style of his programme ‘The Composer Series’ with audience members being invited to engage and ask questions.
Ivor Novello award-winning composing team Joe Henson and Alexis Smith began collaborating in 2005. After realising they had a similar approach to life and wildly divergent musical tastes, they formed a creative partnership that quickly encompassed songwriting, production, and composition.
This dynamic duo have worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry as well as being renowned composers for triple-A video game titles. 2014 saw the release of hit survival horror title ‘Alien: Isolation’ and they followed this up with ‘Horizon: Zero Dawn’, ‘Assassin's Creed Odyssey’, ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ and WB Games Montréal’s ‘Gotham Knights’.
The Flight's television projects include the Netflix Series ‘Lockwood & Co’, BAFTA-nominated BBC documentary series ‘Drugsland’ and ‘Kids on the Edge', produced for Channel 4 by Century Films.
Their most recent project sees the guys returning to the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise with the newest game in the series 'Assassin’s Creed Shadows’, which takes place in 16th-century Japan and follows two new characters in the Creed’s fight against the Templar order. The game released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 20, 2025.
