The Football Hour To Continue Over The Summer

For the first time, The Football Hour on Express FM will be airing twice a week, every week throughout the off-season.

Usually, the show would be wrapped up somewhat 2 or 3 weeks after Pompey's season has reached its conclusion before returning around the end of July, subject to when the Blues' next campaign is scheduled to begin.

In 2024 however, we are pleased to reveal that The Football Hour will NOT be paused, despite Portsmouth's 2023/24 season having ended on the 27th of April.

Instead, Jake Smith will be carrying on with the show all throughout the summer and into the next season with the only break coming on the week commencing the 24th of June, which is when Jake will be completing his charity bike ride to Newcastle upon Tyne for Motor Neurone Disease association (find out more here).

Over the course of May, June and July, The Football Hour will be on hand with exclusive feature interviews, up-to-date information on transfers and the latest as we get it from any news coming out of Portsmouth Football Club.

There will eventually be brand new features added to the show so be sure to tune in throughout the next few months to find out what they are and which special guests Jake has been able to secure, as Express FM ensures that the football coverage remains a constant presence, even without a ball being kicked.

From July, Jake and his regular panel of guests will provide a preview of Portsmouth's upcoming Championship campaign, their first since being relegated from the 2nd tier in 2012.

The Football Hour, on air every Monday and Friday evening between 6-7pm on Express FM!

*excluding the Monday the 24th & Friday the 28th of June, 2024
