Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho provided his pre-match thoughts to Express FM's Jake Smith during Monday's press conference.
The gaffer sat down to speak with local press to reflect on Saturday's defeat at Ipswich and look ahead to matchday 8 of the 2025/26 Championship season.

At the Blues' training facility, Mousinho highlighted his intention to improve the home form following 3 defeats from 4 competitive matches in PO4 so far this campaign: "Our home form hasn't been good enough so far this season.
"Very, very strong last year, very strong the year before and certainly a huge factor in us staying up last season.
"We really need to pick up and we've got 2 great opportunities to do it."
He also analysed the challenge his side are set to face in midweek, saying: "They got a really big win at the weekend at home.
"They've got some very, very good players and a really distinct playing style as well.
"It's gonna be, I think, a really interesting clash. They're just getting going, we probably had a slight blip after a decent enough start so it's 2 sides that both need to win the game and I think it'll be a good one."
