Danny Rose departs Portsmouth from move to Swindon

Danny Rose has left the club by mutual consent and will now be wearing red as he's signed for Swindon.

It's safe to say the 30 year old midfielder didn't get as many matches as he'd perhaps like under manager Kenny Jackett. This played a part in his decision to depart. In a statement about the move Rose said: “There is a tinge of sadness because I had plenty of great times at Pompey and we achieved a lot over past few years.

“But it’s come to the point where I need to be playing games again and enjoying being out on the pitch."

The club tweeted their tribute to him.

Rose has joined the Robins on a deal until the end of the season, with the option for the club to extend for a further year. The Assistant Manager for Swindon said in their statement "With his ability on the ball and work rate, he’s a perfect fit for us going forward.”
